Hey hey! My name is Alyssa Lewis. I’m from Traverse City where I was born and raised but went to school in Buckley where I lived for a few years.
I already knew I loved to cook, but it wasn’t until I got to the bake shop portion of the class that I realized how much I loved to bake! I’m sure my amazing instructor (Miss’ A) had something to do with it too.
I remember we had to make a cake for an assignment and I remember decorating it and having so much fun because it was for my father’s birthday. I also made these adorable snowman brownies and I learned a lot from my time there.
I also have my memory of my Grandma Cooper teaching me how to make a cobbler one Thanksgiving. Or the time when I was super little and I made my father a chocolate cake with my easy bake oven. I guess my love to bake has always been there. Miss A just brought it out.
My goals in life are to be truly happy in every aspect of my life. My business goal is to have a solid business where I can bring smiles to peoples faces regularly. I’ve come to realize that I have been thinking on a small scale of what’s possible and am slowly making my way to being able to expand my growth.
A little about me! I’m a 27 year old who has a passion for food, the outdoors and family/friends. You could say food is a love language of mine and if you ask me to do anything outdoors I’m 100% down. I love camping, hiking, geocaching, the beach, relaxing in my hammock, kayaking and so much more.
Physical fitness is also important to me so I train in the Martial Art of Wing Chun, attend Yoga classes, and love to dance. I love food so I need to be versatile, lol.
I am so thankful and happy to be a part of the Daddy’s Dough team and family because it gives me an opportunity on so many levels. The job is amazing where I can actually put my experience to use, my boss is the best! The environment is comfortable and I am not stressed. I can truly say I love my job. I’m excited to see not only where I will grow as an individual, but also as I grow and run my own business.
